title: available tension: 'come out'
concept/choreography and dance: thomas körtvélyessy
music: steve reich "come out", 1967
duration: usually 6 to 15 minutes

description

In »come out« a performer performs makes her or his personal character-tension available to the public through extended (emotional and kinaesthetic) presence.
In my case I decided to repeat a spontaneously chosen, very brief movement-motive and repeat it very freely, following the kinaesthetic and emotional implements and letting them develop as they will, influencing the performance of the motive, on and on and on ….
The process can basically take any length.
The music lasts for a maximum of 13 minutes, but the performer is free to stop earlier or later whenever the total cycle is completed.
